Episode 344: Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn

Hello everyone, welcome to our week in geek!

This week we venture into the theater to watch Birds of Prey and (deep breath) the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn.  Man that is too long of a title, but even still we bring you our spoiler free and spoiler filled review.  We also discuss what we're playing and talk over some brief nerd news before reviewing our streaming review of The Last Black Man in San Francisco.  We finally wrap things up by
answering last week's podquestion of "what is your favorite free thing you got from a Convention?"

his we watched my streaming suggestion of
The Last Black Man in San Francisco on Amazon Prime. Now, I heard a lot of buzz surrounding this movie last year and was really curious to see what this movie had to offer.  Unfortunately while the cinematography is beautiful this movie really looses it's footing on what is a very interesting concept of gentrification and facing your own history.  There are more than a few standout scenes that we both enjoyed but overall the movie drags on way too long and doesn't provide a clear enough story for us to really enjoy it.  We both recommend skipping this movie.

Next week' streaming suggestion is my choice.  We're going to watch Midsommar on Amazon Prime.

You can suggest a streaming movie that you want us to watch and review on future episodes that are on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ or HBOgo. Please send your suggestions to us using any of the means below.

That is all for this week's Blogcast.  Be sure to tune back in. Same Hammer Time, same Bat Channel.
