Episode 323: Trilogy, Womp Womp

Hello everyone, welcome to our week in Geek!

We're hitting the ground running with a whole mess of news but first we dive into our streaming review of The Wandering Earth.  Although I didn't finish it, guilty as charged, we provide you our full thoughts and then get to the good stuff.  First off we have Kevin Smith to helm new He-Man series, Sony and Disney fight over Spiderman, Matrix 4 announced, FF8 Remaster launch date, Sony buys Insomniac, Mandalorian Trailer and new Marvel Disney+ TV show announcements. We also answer last week's podquestion of "What is your favorite DVD that you own?"

This week's streaming review was The Wandering Earth on Netflix.First off, let's get it straight... yes I did  recommend this movie and no I did not finish it.  This, of course, makes me an asshole.  Now with that out of the way, from what I have seen of the movie so far Ii can totally understand where Bat is coming from.  While the over all cheesiness of this movie isn't his flavor, it's completely mine.  The only thing that will sway my opinion one way or another is if I get bored with the rest of it.  Bat definitely gave it a skip and I'm still on the see it train, so far.  But we both agreed that it's nice to see another culture's take on big and bombastic sci-fi.

Next week we're watching The Perfection on Netflix.

You can suggest a streaming movie that you want us to watch and review on future episodes that are on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBOgo.
