Episode 321: Excessively Long, Stunningly Disappointing and Bland

Hello everyone, welcome to our week in Geek!

No theatrical review this week as we skip out on some scary stories.  Instead we review our streaming movie of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile on Netflix.  We also dive into some fun nerd news with the announcement of a Event Horizon on Hulu, a Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ bundle, Momoa protesting in Hawaii, changing the loot box formulas.  Then we wrap up our show, as always, by answering last weeks podquestion of "which Fast and Furious characters do you want them to spin off next?"

This week's streaming review was Netlfix's Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. The Ted Bundy case is widely known as one that flipped our perceptions of what a brutal serial killer could be.  Casting Zac Efron as Bundy was a great choice as he was able to portray the cunning, strategic, charismatic and entirely dark character.  The parts where this movie falters is all around it's editing, especially the ending.  While they portray the killings and Teds life as two separate things to really give you a grasp of what the country was going through they failed at tying it all together at the end.  What could have been a drastic revelation akin to pulling the curtains back on who he was they left it ambiguous which was just plain confusion.  Yet another victim of the Netlfix movie curse.  We both gave this one a thumbs down and recommended you

Next week we're hitting up Amazon Prime for our next sugary documentary fix with Fed Up.

You can suggest a streaming movie that you want us to watch and review on future episodes that are on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBOgo.
