Episode 206: Holy shIT

Hello and welcome to our back on track week in geek.  We hit the theaters for the horror remake of IT and bring you a spoiler free as well as a spoiler filled review.  We also talk about this weeks nerd news, our podquestion and our streaming review of Butter.

For this week's suggestion we watched the fan suggestion of
Butter.  This is an odd duck of a movie.  There are a ton of notable actors and actresses in here but the movie itself is ... strange.  The heartfelt story of a orphan girl bouncing from home to home finally finding a family and a purpose, which happens to be butter carving.  She squares off against a horrible controlling housewife in a nonsensical competition.  We both find it hard to recommend this one as it has some funny parts but on the whole it might have been a little too strange for our tastes... perhaps we would enjoy a an unsalted version more?

This week's Streaming Review is another movie that we missed in the theaters The Revenant.  This intense Oscar fuel for DiCaprio will be an interesting ride.  If you want to join in on this one you can watch along on HBOgo.

You can suggest a streaming movie that you want us to watch and review on future episodes that are on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBOgo.

In the spirit IT we ask what scared the shit out of you as a kid for this week's podquestion.
