Episode 175: 4 years and counting

Hello and a welcome back to your actually-regularly scheduled week in geek. This week Bat and I talk about Bat's poor experiences with getting his Xbone as well as this round of Geeky trailer releases.  We also cover this week's streaming review of Finest Hours.

This week we watched the daring coastguard rescue movie, Finest Hours. This movie kind of slipped in and out of the Theaters before we noticed.  Though the acting and the sound are on point the movie doesn't really hit it's stride until the actual rescue gets on it's way.  Bat said the CG really took him out of it and wasn't fond of the accents either.  While my main issue was with the movies intro and back story.  They were a little too convoluted and, as Bat points out, they repeat it 3 or 4 times. Even with our issues we both gave this movie 3/5 stars and think that it's worth the time spent.

Next week's streaming review of Yoga Hosers is my choice.  This is another Kevin Smith movie that we should probably not watch, but here we are.  This movie can be found on Netflix.

You can suggest a streaming movie that you want us to watch and review on future episodes that are on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBOgo.

For last week's Podquestion I wanted to know which fictional job would you want.

Hammer             - Bar Tender on Deep Space Nine
Bat                     - Engineering on a Star Fleet Ship
Mando                -Gundam Pilot
TK                      - Imperial Accounting Dept for Scarif's Construction Project Circa 1-BBY

Next week's podquestion was Bat wanted to know what now-defunct band would want to see perform again?

You can send us your answers to this weeks question as well as any questions you'd like to submit to Facebook, Twitter or email us at Batandhammer@gmail.com.

That is all for this week's Blogcast.  Be sure to tune in next week. Same Hammer Time, same Bat Channel.
