Episode 167: The Not-So-Great Salt Lake Comic Con Adventure

Hello and a welcome back to your regularly scheduled week in geek. Halloween is coming up fast and so are the scary movie reviews!  At long last we have get Rader's recounting of his Salt Lake City Comic Con adventures. We also discuss the recent trailer releases with Rouge One, John Wick 2 and Power Rangers.

Our first streaming Horror movie was Bat's choice, Hush. This movie was very much in the vein of movies like Don't Breath.  The concept sold us both pretty quickly with the idea of a Deaf author (who naturally lives in the middle of nowhere) who is terrorized by a psychopathy.  We both really thought the use of silence was well done and the movie over all was pretty good. Not great but still worth the watch, both of us gave it a 3/5.

Next up we're going to be watching a fan suggestion, Kirsti's choice of The Gallows. This movie's trailer was pretty bad and did the opposite of selling us on this movie.  So much so that we never got around to seeing it.  But we're going to be rectifying this soon enough.  Hopefully this movie has a few surprises, though with those abysmal ratings I don't expect too much.

You can suggest horror themed streaming movies that you want us to watch and review on future episodes that are on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBOgo.
