Let your voice be heard

Ladies and Gentleman, we have an import decision in front of us, that we all must make.
We have come so far over this part decade, and one man, with his lies and lack of knowledge, is on the verge of destroying. We've heard how he has a vision, to trust in his plan, but his track record speaks for himself. We've watched time and time again, with great hope, that this project, this will be the one to right all the wrongs, yet we are left broken and beaten each time. It's time we take back what does not belong to him. We have to collectively use our voices, to make sure that we are heard by the people in charge. How much longer will we let this man take us down a path we do not wish to go?

That's right folks, we need to rise up against the evil that is Zack Snyder

Episode 146: Bat v Hammer: Dawn of a Spoiler Review

Gooooooood Morning Everyone.  We break your normal Friday with a special midnight recorded addition of Sprecken ze Geek.  Sarah and TK join us this week and we just got out of Batman v Superman and are ready to dig deep in and go to town.  As we mentioned last week, this is a break from our normal format.  Just like with Star Wars, we will give you about 5 or so minutes of spoiler free review to say a yay or neigh and then we give you ample warning before going after the meat and potatoes of the movie.  The online reviews of this movie are a bit on the bad to ok/good levels and you're going to find that Bat and I seem to be at ends... like a versus match.

Okay enough of that lets get onto the show.  We're going to be doing our streaming review next week so you still have time to watch Justice League: War and send us your review and/or suggestions for future streaming reviews.

You can suggest streaming movies that you want us to watch and review on future episodes that are on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBOgo.

Episode 145: Who is Aaron Rodgers Again?

Welcome my back with another episode of SzG.  This week we We have a bunch more nerd news to talk about including: New teasers for Xmen and Warcraft, some new movie trailers, news that Indiana Jones 5 is real, PS VR price and release info, Bioshock Collection, Casting for Aquaman's Mera and possible PS and Xbone cross platform play.

Bat's streaming suggestion this week was Me and Earl and the Dying Girl.  Yet again we come across another "slice of life" movies.   Not to say that we didn't like it, both of us enjoyed what we saw but felt like it just didn't hit a home run.  The acting was good and the concept was fun but it failed to connect on a few points that lessened the emotional impact of this high school coming of age movie.  While we both rated this one as a 3/5 I think I came out a little higher on than Bat.

Next streaming suggestion is my choice so it's time for some cartoons.  We're going to be watching Justice League: War though we will be skipping the streaming review for this next week due to BvS.  Still if you want to give this one a watch in the mean time you can see it on Netflix.

Episode 144: Sniffle Supercut

Welcome my back with another episode of SzG.  This week we bring you a heaping helping of nerd news including subtle clues about Aquaman and Flash movies, Lionhead Studios closing, J.K. Simmons cast as Gordon and the new Captain America trailer release.  We also have a theatrical release of 10 Cloverfield Ln with both spoiler free review and later on with out spoiler filled thoughts.  We also have this weeks streaming suggestion of CitizenFour and episode 5 of Making a Murderer.

This week's streaming suggestion is from one of our fans, Bat's Heterolifemate.  He suggested watching CitizenFour because of our love of documentaries.  This is one of those things that we both remember experiencing as it was happening.  The day to day leaks and the reactions to each new revelation.  As a documentary Bat found this lacking because he said that it didn't really provide too much new information and the presentation wasn't very engaging.  I felt the exact oppistite and thought it gave much of insight into who Snowden was and why he was coming forward.  Bat gave this one a 2/5 while I gave it a 4/5.

Next week's streaming suggestion of  Me and Earl and the Dying Girl comes from Bat.  This little movie looks adorable and will be a nice change of pace.  You can find this one on HBOgo.

Episode 143: Diverse to be Diverse

Welcome my friends, we're back with another episode of SzG.  Yet again we are stuck with a relatively slow news week.  This week we discuss Capcoms Re-Re-Re-releasing, delays with Uncharted 4 and the new Ghostbusters trailer.  We also cover this weeks streaming suggestion of The Voices and our spoiler filled reaction to episode 4 of Making a Murderer.

This week's streaming suggestion is one of my own.  We watched The Voices
this week and it's another case of Bat and myself not exactly seeing eye to eye.  Bat REALLY did not enjoy this movie.  One of his main complaints was that there was no real plot.  While I do see his point, I like these sort of "slice of life" movies (pun intended).  Now I didn't think this was the greatest movie but I liked the strange quirk of Ryan Reynolds voices.  While Bat gave this movie a 2/5 and says to avoid it at all costs I gave it a 3/5 and just recommend it with a bit of caution that it's a little rough around the edges that it's missing a bit in the comedy department.

Next week's streaming suggestion comes from Bat's Heterolifemate and listener of the show.  Doug asked for us to watch CitizenFour, the Edward Snowden movie.  We both watched the trailer and agreed that if you didn't know the situation this trailer doesn't do anything to grab you.  But because we do know the history involving Snowden we're both ready for some documentary fun.
