Episode 96: Honey Dicked

No new Theatrical Review this week (but that will be changing this month) but we do have a Streaming Review as well as this weeks nerd news.

My suggested Streaming Review was The Interview.  As I said last week I kind of knew what we were in store for due to Franco and Rogen both being involved but man was this a bad movie.  Yes there are worse movies that we have seen but for all of the hype and controversy I don't think they could have made  a movie that would have.  We both say that the movie is unbalanced with some good parts but overall it was just a mess.  Franco in the beginning of the movie seemed like he was constantly aiming for going over the top and Rogen was pretty even though out.  There are a few jokes here and there that are enjoyable but we would be hard pressed to recommend this movie just for those.  If you were on the fence before, avoid it, but if you are a die hard Franco and Rogen fan then just try and keep your expectations in check.

Since the Super Bowl just passed we decided to go with a sports theme for this weeks Streaming Review.  While I'm not an avid sports fan I do enjoy a good documentary and that brings us to our choice of Brian and the Boz.  I couldn't find a trailer for it so I found this quick synopsis.  The documentary is part of the 30 for 30 series.

If you want to join us on this streaming movie you can find this movie on Netflix. You can send us your reviews or your suggestions for our next streaming review via Facebook, Twitter or email us at Batandhammer@gmail.com

This Episode we discuss Emma Watson being cast as Belle, Chris Pratt rummored casting as Indiana Jones, the Fantastic Four Trailer and the rumored all female cast of the Ghostbusters reboot.

Here's the Fanastic Four trailer for those that have not seen it yet.  I'm not sure where all of the hate is coming from (the internet, it hates everything) but we think this trailer looks decently interesting.  Looking forward to seeing more from this, might just be our surprise comic book movie of the summer.
