"Rush." We both originally planned to see this one in theaters but time just got away from us and luckily it came back onto our radar thanks to Bat's Heterolifemate.
To start off, Ron Howard makes some pretty damn good movies. And Rush is one of those movies. The movie delivered on what the trailer proposed, a dramatic and well acted depiction of two race icons (who honestly I had never heard of before the movie). Howard does a wonderful job of making us care for a sport and these drivers in a way I didn't think he could. We both really enjoyed the movie and it really is gorgeously shot and well acted. If we were able to rate it on HBOgo we'd give this a solid 4 our of five. If the trailer intrigues you at all I'd definitely recommend for you to watch it.
"Snowpiercer" is our next streaming review, care of our friend Tristan. I don't know much about the movie besides the trailer and that Tristan called it "Cap on a train" so I''l leave you with the plot synopsis.
Set in a future where a failed climate-change experiment kills all life on the planet except for a lucky few who boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe, where a class system emerges.

This weeks Nerd News includes: Suicide Squad Casting, Kristen Ritter cast as Jessica Jones, Cumberbatch cast as Doctor Strange and trailer reviews of Star Wars/Jurassic World/Terminator Genysis/Bond: Specter
We've also included the most recent episode via the embedded link below.
This teaser trailer is the big boy of the lot. Everyone is talking about this one and over all we thought it was alright, still waiting on a proper trailer to really grab us. But with Bat's favorite moment being the X-wings flying low and mine split between the Millennium Falcon and Broadsword lightsaber I think it's fair to say we're going to be seeing this one. It is Star Wars afterall. Also here's the George Lucas edit Bat talked about, it is rather entertaining.
Next up is Jurassic World. Man this trailer has Dinosaurs and a park... I'm sold. Really though, you don't have to convince me any further.
3rd up is the new Terminator, and well... it's a Terminator movie. And we will both be seeing this one, though we kinda hope they get rid of Arnie soon as we can only take so many "I'll be back"s as well as "Come with me if you want to live"s.
4th up is the new Bond, Spectre. This really is more of a title announcement and casting reveal. But it looks like they are using the newly reacquired rights to Spectre and I look forward to seeing where this final Craig movie goes.
