Episode 72: Transformium is less than meets the eye

Welcome back to one doozy of a Podcast.  This hour and a half episode begins with our review of Transformers: Age of Extinction.  But you need not worry out getting this movie ruined for you as we start you off with a spoiler free review and end the show with a spoilerific review with a few friends.  Man... that movie...there really are just no written words to describe it.  So listen in!

This weekend we also did a Panel at AZ I-Con in Glendale about starting a podcast.  This was mostly tips gathered from our own personal experience and was focused on Podcasting in its most basic form.  Keeping it easy and trying to make it approachable.  You can find the Blog post for that Panel Here and we will probably have the episode up and running in the next couple of weeks.

Bat's suggestion for this weeks streaming review is the Horror movie The Purge.  Due to some technical issues I only watched about half of the movie.  Bat on the other hand endured the movie all the way through and reported back that this is yet another in a long series of movies with disappointing endings.  We both still love the concept but the end just fell flat and with the whole movie falls with it.  The main "Villain" was something special and we both agreed that we really wanted to see more of him.  Here's to hoping that the sequel delivers a better all around experience.  But I think both of us are going to wait till streaming for that one as well.

Our Next streaming review comes from my own personal Netflix queue, Safety Not Guaranteed.  This movie has a couple of magazine employees interviewing a guy who is seeking a companion for time travel. The Director, Colin Trevorrow, is also the man heading up the new Jurassic World movie.

This movie can be found on Netflix so If you want to be a part of the review next week make sure to send us your reviews or your suggestions for our next streaming review via Facebook, Twitter or email us at

This weeks Nerd News includes: Elden Henson being cast as Foggy Nelson, Pacific Rim 2 announced, rumored BvS trailer at SDCC, Star Trek 3 release date announced, Shane Black's Predator Sequel, War Games reboot and Seth Rogen's The Interview sparking controversy with North Korea.
